DAY 1 – ARRIVAL TO DOVJE – ALPINE VILLAGE ON THE NORTHERN SIDE OF TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK
Arrival in Slovenia and accommodation in the old Alpine village of Dovje, close to the entrance to the Triglav National Park. Meeting with the guide and other things to do. Accommodation in a private house in an apartment. Dinner in a local restaurant.
DAY 2 – CYCLING TRIP – NORTHERN WALLS OF JULIAN ALPS AND LAKE BLED
Breakfast. Morning departure for a great cycling adventure. We’ll cycle along the Sava River, which is actually along a well-deserved old railway line, ride to the steel town of Jesenice, some long steep climbing over the hills and to the old village of Dovje, descend to the shores of Lake Bled, ride around the lake and stop in Slovenia’s most attractive town. Free time for relay race, walks, shopping. Afternoon transfer back to your holiday home. Dinner in the restaurant. Overnight.

DAY 3 – CYCLING TRIP – FORESTS OF POKLJUKA PLATEAU AND THE BEAUTY OF LAKE BOHINJ
Breakfast. Morning transfer to the starting point, which is a beautiful high mountain plateau, part of the Triglav National Park – the so-called Pokljuka. A landscape of deep forests, bordered by 2,000-metre peaks to the north and wide open to the south. We’ll make a fantastic drive to the Winter Nordic Centre, visit the old shepherd village of Zajamniki with its spectacular views of the mountains and the Bohinj valley. Then it’s a long descent to the shores of Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s alpine pearl. Some stop at a cheese factory, others ride along the shores of Lake Bohinj…. In the afternoon, drive back to the village of Dovje. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.

DAY 4 – CYCLING TO PLANICA SKI JUMP AND BELOPEŠKA JEZERA
Breakfast. Today we head west, following the cycle path to the winter ski resort and the village of Kranjska Gora. A short stop for sightseeing and a coffee break. From there it’s a short drive to the Alpine valley of Planica. World famous ski jumping centre. A short visit with a local guide, including a chairlift ride up to the starting platform of the giant ski jump structure. Later, we continued cycling along the cycle path, entered Italy, made some longer climbs to the Belopeci lakes or as they are called in Italian – I Laghi di Fusine. These are two alpine lakes set beneath the northern faces of the Julian peaks. A unique place with a magnificent view of the northern faces of the great mountain peaks such as Ponce and Mangart. Return downhill and drive back to Kranjska Gora and our holiday home in Dovje. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 – TRIP OVER JESENICE TO THE VINTGAR GORGE
After breakfast, we will head straight into the national park, climb to the top of the hill and arrive at the area of the three waves of the Julian Alps. We will follow the Radovna river to the village of Gorje. A short stop for refreshments. This Alpine river has carved a huge canyon between the walls of the Hum and Borst hills, and we will have a nice walk through this natural phenomenon, called the Vintgar Gorge. Return to Dovje by road to Jesenice, later by the old railway line to Dovje, free afternoon for relaxation. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight.

DAY 6 – TOUR OF THE GORENJSKA COUNTRYSIDE
Breakfast. Morning transfer to Lake Bled, some time for a cappuccino, then we start with a nice tour of the Gorenjska villages. There are a few climbs ahead, but most of the route is relatively flat. We head towards Ribno, descend to the Sava Bohinjka river and take a short ride along an unpaved path, continuing to the old town of Radovljica. Later, we head south to Kropa, cross the Sava River and return to the village of Brezje with its famous pilgrimage church. A short stop for a visit. Our route leads to Begunje, the birthplace of the famous Elan skis and the birthplace of the world-famous Avsenik band. We continue our drive back to Bled. Some free time to explore Bled before heading to Dovje. Dinner. Overnight.

Breakfast, time to say goodbye. Individual departure or organised transfers (on request).
