Extended gravel weekend along the green forests and vineyards of northeastern Slovenia. Maribor and Pohorje are well-known destinations for passionate cyclists.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL AND AFTERNOON DISCOVERY TOUR OF MARIBOR WINE HILLS – NORTH
Maribor is famous for its wine and vineyards, for its ski resorts on the northern slopes of Pohorje. The sunny slopes facing south are also known as an ideal place for great mountain biking rides. We will take a tour and climb some of these hills, later continue across St. Urban, Gaj, Tojzl peak, and finally the highest of them- Žavcar peak. The terrain is not too technical, but much steeper ascents need to be made. From the top you can admire the view of the Drava river valley and the city of Maribor and the Austrian wine roads and hills in the north. Free evening for an individual dinner, visit to some city bars and pubs. Overnight.

DAY 2 – GREEN FORESTS OF MOUNT POHORJE – PART ONE
Breakfast. We will prepare the luggage for transport. First we will drive across the town, later we will climb from 350 m to 1050 m to reach the ridge of the Pohorje hill. Pohorje is big. It stretches over 80 km to the west – in the direction of Carinthia. Huge forests cover the entire terrain. There are some open green fields from where you can admire the stunning scenery. We will drive along the ridge of the mountain, along forest roads to an altitude of 1500 meters and to our final point – the Rogla ski resort. Accommodation in a hotel, free time to relax and enjoy the silence of nature. Individual dinner, overnight.

DAY 3 – GREEN FORESTS OF MOUNT POHORJE – PART TWO
After breakfast we continue driving west with many descents and ascents and stop at the Pesnik mountain hut. Climb the ridge and some more technical terrain before we reach the resort of Kope. From there follows a long descent, into the valley of the river Drava and the small village of Muta, near the hill Kozjak, which rises above the Austrian border. Free time to relax and taste high quality Slovenian food. Late afternoon transport to Maribor. Free time in the city, overnight.

DAY 4 – FAREWELL FROM MARIBOR AND STYRIA
Breakfast and the end of the tour or some free time before your organized transport to the departing airport.
