Great road bike tour, 3 countries, 5 stages, 7 days. Travel from the Slovenian capital – Ljubljana to Belgrade – the capital of Serbia. You will remember the adventures in the Balkans.
From the Slovenian capital we take the Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian roads … after 710 km we arrive in Belgrade. A historic and lively city, a place where the rivers Sava and Danube meet. An ideal trip for cyclists who love the plains, little traffic, good food and great hospitality. A long but very relaxing tour.

DAY 1 – INDIVIDUAL ARRIVAL IN LJUBLJANA – WELLCOME TO THE CAPITAL SLOVENIA
Individual arrival in Ljubljana, accommodation in a hotel near the city center. Meeting with the guide, a short presentation and after that we go on a tour of beautiful Ljubljana with its charming architecture and lovely streets full of life and pleasant atmosphere. Individual dinner. Overnight staying.
DAY 2 – FROM LJUBLJANA TO MARIBOR – STAGE TO SLOVENIAN STYRIA
Breakfast and departure for the first part of the trip. Today we go from Ljubljana to the Trojane pass, which divides two Slovenian territories, central Slovenia and Slovenian Styria. After a short break at the famous inn Trojane, we continue our descent to the land of Styria, slowly towards the city of Celje. The second part of the tour offers some hilly roads and stronger shorter ascents before arriving in the valley and fields of the Drava River to Maribor – the capital of Styria. Accommodation in a hotel. We will walk around the historic center, where Slovenia Guide is also based. Individual dinner, overnight.

DAY 3 – MARIBOR TO IVANIČ GRAD – OVER HILLY NORTH TO SAVA RIVER FIELDS
Departure at 09.00 from the Leon Štukelj Olympic Square in Maribor. We continue to Dravsko polje, the town of Ptuj, cross the border with Croatia and go in the direction of Varaždin. Then some steep ascents, beautiful small roads await us before continuing towards Zagreb. At the end of the stage, we head east to finally reach Ivanič Grad in the afternoon. A small town known for its special spas where they use remedies with mud that contains a lot of crude oil (Naftalan). Accommodation in a hotel, free time, individual dinner, overnight.

DAY 4 – IVANIČ GRAD TO SLAVONSKI BROD – ALONG THE SAVA RIVER AND VINEYARDS
Breakfast. Going on a longer stage. We continue along the road that connects the towns of Popovača, Kutina, Novska. We will pedal to the north side of the Sava River, below the Bilogora and Papuk mountains, to reach Slavonski Brod in the late afternoon. Slavonski Brod lies on the banks of the Sava and represents the typical architecture of this area, and is known for its large military fortress, built during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Accommodation in a hotel, free time in a lively historical center, individual dinner, overnight.

DAY 5 – SLAVONSKI BROD TO NOVI SAD – FLATLANDS AND RIVER DANUBE FLOW
Breakfast. The longest stage of the tour, but not too difficult. The first part is placed in a spacious plane. We go northeast, reach Strizivojna, Mikanovci, past Vinkovci, continue through the city of Vukovar, which was an important city during the last war in the 1990s in the former Yugoslavia. Pause for a short visit. In the afternoon we will drive along the Danube River to Ilok, which is an area known for good wines. After Ilok we cross the border and arrive in Serbia. At the foot of the mountain, called Fruška Gora on the right and the river Danube on the left, we continue to Novi Sad. The second largest city in Serbia lies on the Vojvodina plain and is a very popular tourist city, full of historic buildings from the period of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Accommodation in a great hotel, free time, individual dinner, overnight.
STAGE DATA: 170 km, 260 vertical meter in ascend.
DAY 6 – NOVI SAD TO BELGRADE – OVER VOJVODINA COUNTY TO THE SERBIAN CAPITAL
Breakfast. Today is the last stage. We will therefore drive in the direction of Sremski Karlovci, the historic town of the Serbian education system. First of all, we would like to invite you to a short ascent “paving” to the top of the famous fortress in Petrovardin, the largest Austro-Hungarian fortress in the Balkans. We descend and in short we drive uphill again – past the mountain Fruška Gora, after the descent we expect a very flat base, along the plain and huge fields to get to Belgrade – the capital of Serbia. Upon arrival, we go to a hill called Kalemegdan, with a beautiful fortress that overlooks the crossroads of the Sava and Danube for centuries. The place where Belgrade was born – White City. Free time for lunch, hotel accommodation, organized farewell dinner in a typical restaurant. Overnight staying.
STAGE DATA: 84 km, 330 vertical meter in ascend.
DAY 7 – BELGRADE – RETURN TO SLOVENIA (LUBIANA)
Breakfast and check-out from the hotel, luggage / bicycle preparation. Transfer to Slovenia, along the highway to Zagreb, border with Slovenia and late afternoon arrival in Ljubljana. End of program.
