The roads that wind through the vineyards, with almost no traffic, serve excellent local cuisine, friendly hosts, some pleasant “boutique” accommodation, tasting local products and enjoying cycling. Two wine-growing zones, east and west of Slovenia – both on the sunny side of the Alps.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL TO SLOVENIA – HOTEL ACCOMMODATION IN PREKMURJE REGION
Arrival to Slovenia, (optional transfer from airport to Murska Sobota), accommodation at the 4**** venue Lovenjak castle. It is famous for one of the best Slovenian restaurants, a private wine cellar and a distillery, a nice spa. Meeting with your cycling guide, dinner. Overnight staying.
DAY 2 – TOUR OF GORIČKO AND LENDAVA VINE ROAD – SLOVENIAN VULCANO LAND
Breakfast. Today we are going on the first tour, which goes to the northernmost part of Slovenia, the area of wine hills and forests of Goričko. It is a volcanic land; the hills are short and steep. The last part of the tour is flatter and crosses the fields of Prekmurje. Free time to relax, spa. Dinner, overnight staying.

DAY 3 – TOUR TO A WINE REGION OF SLOVENSKE GORICE
Breakfast. Today’s tour goes southwest. We will discover the region of the Slovenske Gorice wine hills. Typical villages, small ponds and lakes, rolling hills. This is the most typical part of northeastern Slovenia. We have a few refreshment stops, maybe you would like to try some local wine. Afternoon free time to relax. Dinner. Overnight staying.

DAY 4 – TOUR OF JERUZALEM WINE ROAD AND MURA RIVER – AFTEROON TRANSFER TO THE WESTERN SLOVENIA – NOVA GORICA
Breakfast. Today we will go on a tour with some difficult ascents and descents. The Jeruzalem wine road region. Terraced vines, winding roads and beautiful scenery. Stop for a wine tasting at Jeruzalem, return over the hilly roads of Prlekija to the mostly flat areas near the river Mura, to Radenci Spa and later back to our hotel. After late lunch check-out time. Transfer to western Slovenia (by your private car or organized for those who come without a car), in about 2,5 to 3 hours of driving we arrive in the Vipava Valley and Gorica. Accommodation, dinner.

DAY 5 – VIPAVA – VALLEY OF WINE AND FRUITS
Breakfast. Today we take a tour of the beautiful Vipava Valley, known as the Valley of Fruit and Wine. The tour is not too difficult, there is some flat terrain, some shorter hills and many beautiful old villages with stone houses, old farms and wine cellars. The Vipava Valley is called also Slovenian California. You will enjoy the local roads; some are very remote and almost without traffic. The last part we travel under the Kras plateau in the shadow of the northern part. Return to Nova Gorica. Dinner, overnight.

DAY 6 – TOUR OF GORISKA BRDA WINE REGION – BORDER RIDE INTO ITALY
Breakfast. Immediately after the start, we make a short transition to Italian territory and back to Slovenia to explore one of the most popular regions of Slovenian wines – Goriška Brda. The western part of Slovenia is quite hilly, steep roads winding through fantastic vineyards, forests, old villages with a traditional architecture. The region is also known for its excellent cuisine. So let’s make a big circle riding through the picturesque vineyards along a quiet road, but with some climbing and a sharp descent! Of course we will stop at a small wine tasting. In the second part of the stage we enter Italy, go after some easy straight turns and come to Brda again. After a few ascents we will arrive in Nova Gorica again. Dinner, overnight.

DAY 7 – REGION OF KRAS – LAND OF BORA WIND AND PROSCIUTTO
Breakfast. You will get to know one of the most romantic and picturesque landscapes in Slovenia – Kras. This is a high plateau that rises to the app. 400 to 500 m above sea level of the Adriatic coast in the west and Alps in the north. The entire Kras area is full of excellent wine cellars, prosciutto production and let’s not forget the world-famous White Lipizzaner Horse Stables in Lipica. You will love it. Of course, we will make a few stops to taste the highest quality prosciutto with a local protected wine called “Teran”. Tour is not easy, but we believe you will enjoy it. Late afternoon we return to our guest house. Free time and dinner. Overnight.

DAY 8 – DEPARTURE DAY
Breakfast. Time for transportation to airports – for customers arriving by plane, or individual departures for customers by private car.

PRICE MODIFICATION
Sloveniacycling – BMG tour operator, may set two prices in the program, depending on the actual number of registered passengers. The traveler registers at the lower price but is aware of and irrevocably agrees to pay the difference between the lower and higher price. If fewer passengers sign up for the trip, we will inform you of the changed conditions 10 days before departure. The passenger cannot withdraw from the contract if the conditions for a possible price increase should arise.
