DAY 1 – ARRIVAL TO SLOVENIA – HOTEL ACCOMMODATION IN PREKMURJE REGION
Arrival in Slovenia, (optional transfer from airport to Murska Sobota), accommodation in 4**** Lovenjak. It is known for one of the best Slovenian restaurants, a private wine cellar and distillery and a pleasant spa. Meet your cycling guide, dinner. Overnight.
DAY 2 – VISIT TO GORIČKO, THE LAND OF VOLCANOES
After breakfast we will start our first tour of the region. Today we will head north to the hilly land of Goričko, covered with forested hills. A slow drive takes you to the village of Grad, where the largest castle in Slovenia stands on a steep hill made of the basalt tuff of Bohota. Nearby is the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption with a statue of the Virgin Mary dating from 1510, the interior of which has been redesigned by Jože Plečnik, and the Vulcania adventure park. After a stop, we continue a little further north, almost to the border with Austria, then turn back and head south. We will drive along roads that will lead us back to our hotel accommodation. Free afternoon to enjoy the Lovenjak resort. Dinner, overnight.

DAY 3 – FLATLANDS, VILLAGES OF PREKMURJE REGION AND “VINARIUM” TOWER
Breakfast. Today’s stage will give you the answer to the question why Prekmurje is called “plain”. We will head towards the Moravske Toplice health resort and spa, stop for a short rest and later continue along the road to the village of Bogojina, where you can see a very special church, the project of Mr Jože Plečnik, one of the best Slovenian architects of the last century. It is also called the “White Dove”. Later, we cross almost flat terrain towards the town of Lendava, which lies just below the vineyards of the so-called Lendava Mountains. We will finish the stage with a short, steep climb up to a modern tower of wooden construction called the Vinarium. You will enjoy excellent views over the wine-growing hills, across the plains of Hungary, to Croatia in the south and to the volcanic hills of Austria in the north. Return by minibus, free time in the resort of Lovernjak for swimming, culinary or wine enjoyment. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 4 – MURA RIVER, RADENCI HEALTH RESORT AND FLATLANDS OF PREKMURJE
Breakfast. Today’s stage is a pleasant drive north from our holiday home, we will take a secondary road to the border with Austrian Styria and enter the neighbouring countries. A short descent to the famous spa and old market town of Bad Radkersburg. A short stop for refreshments. Later, we cross the border bridge back to the Slovenian side and drive towards Radgona, along flat terrain to the Radenci health resort, drive a little north and continue through a typical village in an easterly direction and back to Polana and our holiday home. Free afternoon to relax, dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 – OLD MILL – JERUZALEM WINE ROAD AND SUNNY VINEYARDS OF PRLEKIJA REGION
Breakfast. Departure for the last stage. We will go to the banks of the river Mura, cross the river and stop at the old water mill, a unique example of historical technical construction, still in operation and producing high quality wheat flour. You can also buy some flour as a gift. We continue our journey through small villages and climb to the last part, the so-called Jerusalem Vine Road. A very picturesque part of the Slovenian landscape, the excellent vineyards are home to the famous Slovenian wine. The road is steep, but worth the effort. Arrival at a wine cellar and a nice typical restaurant in the village of Jeruzalem. Time to enjoy the flavours of Prlekija, some wine and homemade food. In the afternoon we have organised a minibus transfer back to our holiday home. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 6 – DEPARTURE DAY
Breakfast at the Lovenjak Ranch, time to say goodbye to your friendly host.
